Building for dummies

Determining the type of character (alias PC) you want to do

It is important to know how the PC will kill the enemies and how to defend themselves before starting to levelup, this is due to the fact that being a shard full action it is necessary to maximize the strong points of the PC for high performance. For example, with regard to defense, we could decide to base it all on reductions and/or immunities, or concealment, or armorm calss or on a sufficient combination of all three types of defense. The characters on dexterity or wisdom normally defend themselves with the concealment and the armor class. Some good combinations could be: 90% concealment/no AC, 80% concealment/AC >= 120, 70% concealment/AC >= 130, 60% concealment/AC >= 140. The characters on strength do not need some armor class, they base their defenses only on concealment and damage reduction.

Melee characters to hit the monsters (in the most difficult quests) must have a minimum bonus attack of 1d20 + 105, the maximum armor class of monsters is 125. So a character with an attack of 1d20 + 115 has an excellent statistic. The minimum caster level to overcome the spell resistance of the most powerful bosses is 115.

Choice of the sub-race

It is essential to choose a sub-race for a very simple reason. Through the sub-race we start to maximize and personalize the PC in relation to what was said in the previous point. In order to choose the sub-race you must manually write the name of subrace when creating a new PC after choosing the basic race respecting the upper and lower case indicated in the wiki.

Divine classes

Commonly known as CDV, they allow legendary PCs to take advantage of all 120 levels in the strength of their attacks and in the power of defense. Some pure classes do not need any CDV while others, without, become the poor PC. So it is very important to verify that the PC can aspire to a CDV or even base on it the construction. The engine of the game automatically provides for the activation of a CDV when a PC meets the requirements. It is possible to have more than one. CVD are recognized by the presence of a flower in the PC inventory. Carefully read the wiki and in-game books to choose your favorite divine class.

Equipment

Without good equipment, gaining experience points and closing legendary quests is almost impossible. Often renew PC items, exchange items that are not needed for your build. Up to level 40 you can find interesting items only from Gegnar, whose inventory varies depending on what is found by all PCs in the game when completing a quest, so it will be more proficient to look for new items just before the server reboots , when they have been collected in large quantities. After level 40 the only way to find your equipment will be to close the legendary quests. To earn gold coins, go to the inn and use the chests and runes in the appropriate rooms. The system inside the inn is used for the division of the loot when the PC is in a party.

Level 40

The first objective is to reach level 40 in the shortest possible time so you can access the legendary quests to reach the 120 level, after level 40 you can run in party with PCs of a much higher level and aspire to a divine equipment. To level up quickly do in order:

– Activate the first two quests from the priestess Vera to the temple and from the knight Mather outside the entrance of the inn, to retrieve the rings from the goblins and in the crypts
– Go invisible to the north to the cemetery over the goblin area, take a couple of levels and then descend to the crypt, only after completing the goblin quest
– Around the 10 level gain exp point in the Zhengi Plateau area, or going south of Darkilenadia fighting against the ogres and killing the mini bosses hidden in benzor. At 15 level activate the quest of the lizards from Delorn in the square and kill the monster that is in the Benzor Palude Hissing Bog area to complete it.
– At this point the PC should be just below level 20 and you can gaind exp in the areas Trommel Bosco and Benzor Ovest Sobborghi activating the relative quest from OfUgka.
– To get to the 30 level it is recommended to travel all the areas in the extreme west of the map starting from the “Passo di Ornal” up to the “Isola di Tortuga”, there are as many as 7 dungeons plus several mobs that give good xp. Bosco Trommel is an excellent area to turn in search of exp.
– At this point the PC should be at the 30 level or a little above, obligatorily make the Island of Misty at least a couple of times and then go to dungeons in the area south of Darkielandia, up to 40 level without disdaining at least one visit to the giants in the relative “Montagna dei Giganti” area.

In order to follow the points listed above it is obviously advisable to consult the updated map. You can find all the material you are interested on wiki or Discord on channel

There are several extra dungeons not reported in these guide which are however listed on the map

Have fun, Aliberto
